Zoho CRM is back with its October 2024 updates, bringing a host of new features designed to make your work easier and more efficient. From understanding customer feedback better to managing your sales data with more control, there's a lot to explore.
Key Takeaways
Root Cause Analysis in VoC: Quickly identify reasons for customer dissatisfaction.
Bulk Subform Additions: Streamline quote creation by adding multiple products at once.
Kiosk Enhancements: Customize Kiosk screens with new field types and actions.
Criteria-Based Data Exposure: Simplify user portals by showing only relevant information.
Tag Management via Sheet Import: Gain precise control when updating tags.
Understanding Customer Dissatisfaction with Root Cause Analysis
First up, Zoho CRM has introduced a Root Cause Analysis feature within Voice of the Customer (VoC). This new tool helps you pinpoint the main reasons behind customer unhappiness. Think things like slow responses, pricing issues, or misunderstandings about what a customer needs. By looking at data from emails, surveys, support tickets, notes, and social media, you can now build custom charts. Grouping this data by the root cause helps you create better strategies to keep your customers happy and loyal.
Making Quotes Easier with Bulk Subform Additions
Creating quotes just got a lot simpler. Zoho CRM now lets you add multiple rows to subforms. This is a big help when you need to associate several products with a single quote. Salespeople can now add products more efficiently. To use this, you just need to enable the "Allow bulk addition" option on the subform properties page and pick the right lookup field for the module you're working with.
Kiosk Updates for Better Screen Management
There are several updates for Kiosk this month. You can now customize the titles of your Kiosk screens. You can use the component's name, set a new title, or even leave it blank. Plus, you can adjust the screen width to better fit your display. On top of that, you can now add Percentage, URL, and Decimal fields to your Kiosk screens. You can also change the default path name in the decision component. And for even more functionality, Kiosk now has three new actions: Convert, Add Meeting, and Add Calls!
Simplifying Portals with Criteria-Based Data Exposure
Zoho CRM is making the portal experience smoother for users with a new criteria-based data exposure feature. This means users will only see the finalized, relevant information they need at each stage. You can set conditions based on matching fields or values, which keeps background processes hidden. This update also lets users access information specific to their context, like products for a certain region or enterprise-level options, without getting bogged down by unrelated data. The configuration page has also had a UI refresh, with the old "Filter by column" section now called "Linked As & Conditions" for easier use.
More Control Over Tags with Sheet Imports
Finally, Zoho CRM is giving you more flexibility when managing tags through sheet imports. Now, when you update records, you have two options for tags: you can append new tags to the ones that are already there, or you can completely replace the existing tags. This gives you much more precise control over how your tags are managed.
That's all the new stuff for October 2024. See you next month!
